The Personal Bubble Object, or P-BO for short, is a small, pouch sized device capable of projecting a protective energy shield around an individual for a short time. The device is easily worn on a belt, and weighs only 1.5 lbs. The gadget works by creating a field of charged particles around the wearer in a semi-spherical shape that extends about six inches above their head or the length of their outstretched arms. The bubble is invisible to the naked eye unless deflecting incoming objects, when it will briefly flare blue at the point of impact.

The shield uses a strange energy field that Penelope discovered after her ordeal with the Mi-Go on Mount Everest. The device can be used up to five times on a single charge, and can be recharged on the Cygnus or at the manor. Activation requires a standard action. When activated, the shield provides a random 2D10 Armor for one minute (roughly 10 combat rounds).
